<p>PURPOSE:To increase the adsorption rate and desorption-decomposition rate by depositing a catalyst component on a adsorption compsn. comprising sepiolite and zeolite to prepare the zeolite-contg. adsorption-decomposition compsn. CONSTITUTION:Metal elements selected from platinum group, group I elements, group VII elements and rare earth metals, or oxides of these are deposited as the catalyst component on the adsorption compsn. comprising sepiolite and zeolite. The obtd. zeolite-contg. adsorption decomposition compsn. is made to adsorb or occlude a malodorous gas component and/or toxic gas component of a gas to be treated containing a malodorous gas component and/or toxic gas component. Then the adsorption-decomposition compsn. is periodically or non-periodically heated to desorb and decompose the occluded malodorous gas component and/or toxic gas component. The catalyst component is preferably a platinum metal, and more preferably, platinum, paradium, or combination of these.</p> |
