<p>Ball and socket hitch for a trailer with automatic engagement, comprising: - a body (1), the bottom (10) of which is pierced in the proximity of the spherical cap (19) with two parallel slits (13, 14), whereas the lateral walls (15, 16) of the said body are provided with two oblong openings (17, 18) which are substantially vertical; - a shoe (3) articulated about a horizontal pin (2) and elastically loaded comprising a concave face (30) turned to the side of the said cap (19) and parallel lateral faces (31, 32) whose extreme edges are cut out into a staircase shape in order to determine two inclined flats (33, 34) which are offset with respect to one another in order to form a locking cam (35), whereas the inclined flat (33) of the faces (31, 32), and more particularly its end opposite the cam (35), is provided with a different inclination so as to form a stop (36); - a handle (7) integral with a crevice (6) which is elastically loaded and which comprises lateral wings (61, 62) which interact with the slits (13, 14) so as to come to emerge inside the body (1), whereas the said wings are pierced at their free ends by a bore (63) for the passage of a locking finger (8) which is guided axially in the said oblong openings (17, 18). <IMAGE></p> |
