In a device (14) for bending the end tabs (5) of blanks (4) for producing rigid flip-top cigarette packets, the blanks (4) are fed continuously along a path with the end tab (5) projecting laterally. Along the path, each blank (4) cooperates with a first profile (22) internally supporting an inner portion (7) of the end tab (5) defined by a bend line (6) on the end tab (5), and with a second profile (29), the surface (30) of which facing the end tab (5) consists of a first cylindrical strip (31) cooperating externally with the inner portion (7) of the end tab (5), and a second strip (32) extending along the first strip (31) and cooperating externally with an outer portion of the end tab (5) defined by the bend line (6) and constituting a stiffening tab (8). The second strip (32) is helical in shape, and winds over an arc of 180 DEG for bending the end tab (5) in a U and enabling the bent end tab (5) to be drawn between two pressure rollers (36, 37) of a stabilizing unit (35). <IMAGE> |
