PURPOSE:To obtain an indorenin compound expressed by formula 1 and an optical recording medium which is less susceptible to deterioration due to solar beam or indoor light by adding above compound. CONSTITUTION:In formula 1, Q is a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring which can have a substitution group; Ri is an alkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group or an aryl group; and L is a linked group for the formation of carbocyanine. Indorenin compound shown by formula 1 is manufactured by condensing 2mols of a chemical compound expressed by formula 11, 1mol of a chemical compound and 1mol of antimonate hexafluoride expressed by formula 12 or 13 in a dehydrated organic acid such as a blend of acetic anhydride and glacial acetic acid, for example, under heating at 60 to 130 deg.C for 10 to 60min. in the presnece of fatty acid salts such as sodium acetate and potassium acetate. An optical recording medium is manufactured by dissolving the indorenin compound shown by formula 1 in a solvent and applying the solution to a substrate and drying it or adding a resin binder or a singlet oxygen quencher. |
