PURPOSE: To provide a speech device for recognizing a word from a spoken set phrase coinciding with the collated value restricting condition. CONSTITUTION: A grammatical rule 30 is applied to an assumed word 24 according to a collated value restricting condition. Consequently a collated value related to a set phrase is characteristic to grammar. As a sentence which does not coincide with a previously fixed collated value restricting condition is not permitted under the grammatical rule, it is removed originally 34. As the result of introducing the collated value restricting condition, recognition precision is improved.
