<p>PURPOSE:To provide the rotary head type magnetic recording and reproducing device having a reel driving mechanism which can prevent such an accident as infeasibility of housing of a tape into a cassette at the time of unloading by judging the abnormality at the time of tape unloading. CONSTITUTION:The rotary head type magnetic recording and reproducing device which draws out the magnetic tape to the outside of the cassette 2 and runs the tape has a revolution detecting means for detecting the revolution of a reel at the time of tape unloading so that a take-up side reel 6 and a supply side reel 5 are simultaneously driven to rewind the tape in the respective tape take-up directions when the revolution of the reel 6 for taking up the tape is judged to be abnormal at the time of the tape unloading.</p> |
