The invention relates to a method for processing and presenting signalling information of a telecommunications network and a protocol analyzer utilizing the method, by which the signalling messages transmitted in the telecommunications network are processed in a way that individual signalling messages can be pre- sented in a signalling table on the display of the protocol analyzer by means of graphical symbols. The place of the symbol describing the signalling message is tied to its absolute time of occurrence on the subscriber specific row of the signal- ling table. This is enabled by absolute time stamps added to the edges of the columns of the signal table according to the invention, and by means of the time stamps, the individual symbols describing signalling messages can be placed in their time of occurrence.
