PURPOSE:To reduce continuous current conduction capacity of an AC-excited cycloconverter for a variable speed pumped storage hydroelectric power generator system having a plurality of induction type dynamotors. CONSTITUTION:A generating station effective power constant controller for totally controlling of a plurality of cycloconverters for dynamotors is provided. When the cycloconverter for a set power at the time of pumping operation exceeds a continuous current conduction capacity, the plurality of cycloconverters are divided to prescribed cycloconverters and following cycloconverters, which are selectively controlled so that a current is alternately conducted at each staying time capable of conducting the current in a short time. |
