PURPOSE: To obtain an image of high quality and to improve stability with respect to environments by applying a symmetrical AC voltage to a grounded photoreceptor drum so as to induce an asymmetrical AC voltage on the surface of the photoreceptor drum. CONSTITUTION: In this copying machine provided with an electrifier 22, a developing device 24, a developing roller 25, a transfer device 27, a destaticization brush 29, a cleaning blade 31, a cleaning part 32, a front side guide 33 and a rear side guide 30, as the peripheral devices of the photoreceptor drum, the destaticization brush and the front side guide are grounded and a prescribed symmetrical AC voltage is directly applied to the photoreceptor drum, to induce the asymmetrical AC voltage on the surface of the photoreceptor drum. Therefore, the constitution of a power source circuit is simpler than that when asymmetrical AC power is used, manufacturing costs can be reduced and excellent quality of copied image can be obtained. |
