<p>PURPOSE: To transmit torque between two offcentered rotary shafts by providing a means allowing an elastic layer to hold an inside member at a position in a bearing, a means for making nonadhesive connection in the second load direction opposite to the first load direction, and a means for forming a pair of discontinuous sections at both opposite ends of a circular arc-shaped zone area. CONSTITUTION: When a front end 25a precedes a rear end 25b while a coupling is rotating, elastomer layers at the foremost end and rearmost end of a link practically receive compressive loads on the whole surfaces 25", 25''', and the elastomer layers on the opposite sides on the diameters of elastomer bearings 35, 36 are pulled. In the state of the transient counter torque, the layers adjacent to the foremost end and rearmost end of the link receive tensile stresses, and the elastomer layers on the opposite sides on the diameter receive compressive stresses. The front end elastomer bearing 35 of the bearings 35, 36 is split into arc sections discontinuously separated around the circumference of an outside fitting bush 53a, and the rear end elastomer bearing 36 is likewise split.</p> |
