PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal ending of the job and system-down by performing scanning of a buffer with a scan pointer, beforehand detecting the inversion fault of this device and decreasing the occurrence of errors at the execution of instruction. CONSTITUTION:A scan pointer 50 for scanning the contents of a BS3, which is a buffer, is connected to a memory address register 11, and it is beforehand so set that from which column-address the read-out is to be started when the signal processing device assumes a waiting state. More specifically, as a timing for scanning, the scanning is started when the state that retrial is always successful is reached, that is, when the information processing device assumes the waiting state. The waiting state begins when the waiting state bit of program status words goes to ''1''. If there is the inversion fault of the BS3, it is scanned in the waiting state of the information processing device, by which the inversion fault is prevented, and the occurrence of errors at the instruction execution is decreased, thus the abnormal ending of the job and system-down are prevented. |
