PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device which compensates the frequency range of an ultrasonic probe when the later is driven, which decreases a sidelobe in time and which sufficiently enhance the effect of pulse compression. CONSTITUTION:A reflection of a wave transmitted from an ultrasonic probe 2, upon a cap is received by the ultrasonic probe 2 and is then transmitted to a receiver 8 and a detector 12. Further, the reflection wave is converted into a d.c. signal by a capacitor 13, and the d.c. signal is stored in an analog shift register 14. Further, a drive source power control section 7 control the drive power so as to compensate the wave transmitted from the probe 2 for a loss in frequency within a frequency range in which the probe 2 is used, in accordance with the stored signal, and accordingly, the probe 2 can receive reflection waves at a constant level. |
