PURPOSE:To easily perform the work of converting a plane text into a hyper- text in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A keyword tree is prepared on the hyper-text of a hyper-text data base 10. The collation with the keywords included in a unit text read out of the plane text to be converted is conducted while giving higher priority to the keywords located at a deeper position in the hierarchical structure of the keyword tree. When any keyword coincident with that in the keyword tree is found, a link is formed between the unit text and the keyword, provided that the unit text is not linked with a keyword located at the deeper position in the hierarchical structure than that of the keyword of the unit text itself. Such procedure is repeated for each unit text. Thus, the plane text can be automatically converted into the hyper-text. |
