The subject of the present invention is a machine for carrying out analyses of a biological material, such as blood, for example, starting with a blood sample stored in tubes on a support, one or more reagents which are to be mixed in determined quantities with quantities of blood in reaction tubes which receive a quantity of blood and a quantity of reagent, the reagent or reagents being stored on the same support as the blood tubes, the said machine being connected to a cold generator (refrigerator) for preservation of the biological materials and/or of the reagents, the said machine being characterised in that one or more of the reagent containers carried by the support connected with the cold generator are thermally isolated to avoid them being cooled. This isolation may, according to the invention, be obtained by making containers partly or completely from an insulating material or by arranging obstacles, which may or may not be made of an insulating material, between the cold air inlet and the said containers, it being possible for the said obstacles to be carried by the container or containers or by the container support.
