[Also in Division F2] A combined buckle and tensioning device 1 comprises a buckle portion having two side members 2, 3 interconnected by three bars 4, 5, 6 to one of which a strap 15 can be connected and the other end of the strap can be passed about the bars in such a way that when the device is levered over through 180 degrees the other end of the strap becomes trapped, the device also having two lever arms 7, 8 formed by extensions of the side members, and another bar 12, 13 having a slot 14 wherein for edgewise passage of the strap being provided between the lever arms whereby the lever arms may be levered over to tension the strap and may be held in the levered over position when the tensioned strap is passed through the slot 14. As shown, one end of the strap is connected to bar 4 and the other end is looped around the bar 5 and through openings 10 and 11. The bar is then levered over to trap the free end of the strap beneath the bar 6 and the tensioned strap is passed through the slot 14.
