<p>The present invention relates to an electronic device for automatic communication between automobiles, automatically sending signals making it possible, in particular, to warn the driver of a potential danger, and to avoid collisions. The method of information transmission between mobile units, such as automobile vehicles, consists in equipping each vehicle with a separate information transmitter and receiver, communicating by radio waves, the transmitter of a first vehicle broadcasting to the receivers of other vehicles situated in its vicinity coded information relating to actions of the said first vehicle, each receiver comprising means for transcoding the said coded information intended for the driver of the corresponding vehicle. The information is transmitted in the form of a frequency-modulated carrier wave at a modulation frequency which is a function of a specific frequency FM of the information item to be transmitted. According to the invention, an information item is more precisely transmitted at hyperfrequency in the form of two pulses, one to the front of the vehicle with a modulation frequency FMAV, the other towards the rear of the vehicle with a modulation frequency FMAR, the two frequencies FMAV and FMAR being different and functions of the specific modulation frequency FM. This transmission method makes it possible for receivers in the vicinity to distinguish an item of information originating from a mobile unit going in the same direction as them, from an information item originating from a mobile unit coming in the opposite direction. <IMAGE></p> |
