METHOD FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF RESIDUAL OXIDANT IN SEA WATER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform continuous analysis by measuring the potential difference with oxidation-reduction electrodes for sea water before and after pasteurization, and obtaining the concentration of residual oxidant. CONSTITUTION:The oxidation-reduction potential of the actual sea water before and after pasteurization is measured. The concentration of residual oxidant is computed by using a specified expression. Thus the residual oxidant can be automatically analyzed on line only with the oxidation-reduction electrodes and a potentiometer.
