PURPOSE:To suppress the corrosion of a hydrogen storage alloy, prevent the reduction of the electron conductivity between alloy grains and between the alloy grains and a current collector, and obtain an electrode with excellent charge-discharge performance by coating a small quantity of metal nickel on the surface of the hydrogen storage alloy, and mixing metal cobalt powder. CONSTITUTION:The allay powder substituted with part of Ni of MmNi5 by Al and one or two kinds of Fe, Cu, Mn, Co is used as a hydrogen storage alloy, metal nickel 1-10wt.% is coated on the surface of the alloy, and metal cobalt powder 3-10wt.% is mixed. It is filled into an alkali-resistant metal porous body to form an electrode. The corrosion of the hydrogen storage alloy is suppressed, the reduction of the electron conductivity between alloy grains and between the alloy grains and a current collector is prevented, and the electrode with excellent charge/discharge performance is obtained. |
