The folded envelope mfg. machine has an adhesive application point, a folding station and a pressing station for sealing the adhesive joints under pressure. The pressing station is followed by a marking or ejection device, with a processor control calculating the number of folded envelopes between the adhesive application point and the pressing station when the machine is stopped, for corresp. control of the marking or ejection device when a new run is initiated. Pref. a transfer device between the folding station and the pressing station allows the envelopes to be fed to the latter in an overlapping stream.
