<p>PURPOSE:To continuously culture large amounts of cells for a long period by slightly increasing the specific gravity of a microcarrier than that of a culture solution, culturing the cells in a vessel while keeping the cells in a stationary state and separating the cells from the microcarrier. CONSTITUTION:A microcarrier 3 is mixed and suspended in a culture solution 2 and cells are made to stick to the above-mentioned microcarrier. Thereby, culturing is carried out. In the process, the specific gravity of the aforementioned microcarrier is regulated to be slightly larger than that of the above-mentioned culture solution and the mixed and suspended culture solution and the microcarrier are charged into a cylindrical vessel 1 and kept in a stationary state. The aforementioned microcarrier in a precipitated state in the above- mentioned culture solution is heated. After completing the culturing, substances produced by culturing and the cells are separated from the aforementioned microcarrier using a filter 4 capable of checking the above-mentioned carrier and passing the cells and the culture solution therethrough.</p> |
