PURPOSE:To draw a line drawing at the nearly equal speed in the sequence direction and the line direction to aim at the speed-up by performing address mapping of a frame buffer memory in the sequence direction of the image, too. CONSTITUTION:A display device 11 displays an image on the basis of the input analog signal from a D/A converting mechanism, and the mechanism 12 converts the content of a frame buffer memory 13 from the digital signal to the analog signal, and outputs it to the display device 11. The frame buffer memory 13 corresponds to the display resolution of the display device 11, and an address (AD) mapping (MP) mechanism 14 consists of a line and a sequence direction converting means (CL and RW) for mapping the image 21 to a line and a sequence direction MPAD respectively. The means CL, RW access to the images from the line and the sequence directions respectively, and in the case of drawing in the line and the sequence direction, the means CL, RW access in the line and the sequence direction MPAD respectively, and dots in the line and the sequence direction by a data bus size are drawn by one command.
