<p>PURPOSE:To simply regulate a tracking by providing a mechanism for freely altering inclination, height of a guide, and further providing a function of identifying the shape of a reproduced RF envelope of the tape in reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A rotary magnetic head drum 1, inlet and outlet side leaning guides 2, 3 for guiding a tape 8 disposed immediately before and after the drum 1, and inlet and outlet guides 4, 5 for guiding the tape 8 disposed immediately before the guides 2, 3 are provided. Moving means (for example, the tape 8 is introduced to the drum 1 through the guides 4, 2) is provided at the tape guides 2 - 5 regarding to the tracking regulation to provide functions of identifying the shape of a reproduced RF envelope of the soft tape 8 (including a reference tape) and of regulating a most rational tape guide matched to the identified shape, thereby automatically regulating the tracking of the guides 2 - 5 by the operation of a control panel. Thus, a best tracking state is automatically simple obtained.</p> |
