This clamping washer consists of an assembly made up as a single piece formed by three separate elements joined together by bonding, welding, or some other suitable means, namely: a flat metal washer (1) provided at one of the ends of the assembly, a washer (2) made from a compressible material, for example: rubber or some other elastomer, and finally a split friction washer (3) provided at the opposite end from the flat washer, and which is set into a cavity (4) made in the centre of the corresponding face of the compressible washer (2). Preferably, the washer (2) made of a compressible material bears visual means capable of indicating the extent to which this washer is compressed, and particulary of indicating the moment at which this compression corresponds to the desired degree of clamping. <IMAGE>
