PURPOSE:To arbitrarily set the arrangement of IC chips and CCD registers in accordance with the cavity of the package to improve the integration degree, by selecting the number of stages of horizontal and vertical registers of CCD registers in accordance with the form of IC chips. CONSTITUTION:This circuit consists of a monolithic semiconductor integrated circuit and includes plural SPS-system CCD registers. Number (n) of stages of serial registers constituting these CCD registers is caused to differ from the practical number of stages of parallel registers. Further, number (n) of stages of serial registers is smaller than number (m) of stages of parallel registers and is not equal to 2<k> times as large as number (m) (k is a positive integer including 0). |
