Enzymatic washing agent to remove tea-stains. Utensils, etc. contaminated with tea or other tannin residues are cleaned in washing machines, in one or more stages, by employing an enzyme-containing washing agent or detergent. The enzyme is pref. tannase. Action is improved by including amylases, proteases and/or oxygenases.
