PURPOSE:To eliminate a protecting time that is set between the transmission and reception bursts, by detecting the reception burst phase only in a section where no burst signal is transmitted and at the start of transmission and then providing a reception period based on the reception burst phase. CONSTITUTION:When a communication starts, a driver 11 is controlled with the output of an AND12 of a control signal 20 which limits the burst length and a control signal 21 which repeats 1 and 0 for each burst period. Then transmission digital signals 24 formed into blocks by a time compressing circuit 1 are thinned and transmitted to a transmission line 6 via a transmission/reception separating circuit 3. At the same time, a receiver 15 is set active only in a nontransmission period of burst by a control signal 26 via a selector 14. Meanwhile, a sychronous signal extracting circuit 17 extracts a burst synchronizing signal 23 and delivers the timing 22 with which the reception phase is applied synchronously with extraction of the signal 23. A transmission controlling circuit 19 uses a signal obtained by giving a synchronous decision 18 to the timing 22 to set a control output signal 10 at 1. Then normal burst transmission control is carried out. |
