Pigment formulation is based on an aryl-pararosanilinesulphonic acid pigment of formula (I) and 8-20 C alcohol(s) (II) modified with 2-8-mole propylene oxide (PO) and 1-14 mole ethylene oxide (EO) units : R1-3 independently = H, C1, Br, 1-3 C alkyl or 1-3 C alkoxy. USE/ADVANTAGE - The formulation is claimed for use in printing inks, carbonless paper and typewriter ribbons. Modifying (I) with (II) makes it readily dispersible in hydrophobic media, with high colour strength and soft grain, and extends the range of application. (Dwg.0/0)
