The process is for the manufacture of a con-symmetrical chamber for a centrifugal pump casing, and is a sheet metal forming process. A one-piece tube section (9) is placed into a two-part forming die (5), which is shaped as a negative mould for the pump chamber. The die has cylindrical top and lower sections (7,8). The tube section is beaten out, using a rubber body (15) located in its interior, a fluid, or a fluid-filled rubber ball, which are pressure-charged via a pressure die (20). ADVANTAGE - Economical process.
