OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable superconductor having a superconducting transition temperature sufficiently higher than liquid nitrogen temperature and free from intake and release of oxygen up to a high temperature by substituting a part of Y of an oxide of formula YBa2Cu4O8 having a specific structure with Ca. CONSTITUTION:The single stranded CuO chain of a three-layer structure perovskite having YBa2Cu3O7-type crystal structure is substituted with double stranded CuO chain and 0.1-20 atom% of Y is substituted with Ca. The obtained multiple oxide of formula Y1-xCaxBa3Cu4O8 (x: 0.001-0.2) is used as the objective oxide superconductor.
