PURPOSE: A time synchronizing method in an exchange system is provided to assure reliability and stability of the system. CONSTITUTION: According to the method, an NTP(Network Time Protocol) operation environment is initialized using NTP operation information(S40). A port to perform the NTP is searched(S41) and an NTP process starts(S42). The NTP port is registered to an external ethernet matching part when the searched NTP port is a port of the external ethernet matching part. And an NTP packet is received and transmitted with an NTP server through the external ethernet matching part to synchronize time of the exchange system.
