PURPOSE:To obtain a recording image capable of preventing alteration by providing an undercoat layer containing white or light white inorg. fluorescent pigment having an emission max. wavelength within a specific range between a base material and a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material containing a dye precursor and a developer allowing the dye precursor to form a color at the time of heating, an undercoat layer containing white or light white inorg. fluoroscent pigment having an emission max. wavelength of 400-700nm is provided between a base material and a thermal recording layer. When energy is applied to the thermal recording material by a thermal head, a printing image is obtained but, when the thermal recording material is irradiated with light having black light, only the printing image part develops a fluorescent color to be capable of being discriminated. That is, the thermal recording layer is melted by applied heat and the molten substance is sunk in the undercoat layer and the printed part becomes a depressed state and the undercoat layer is exposed. When the part of this exposed state is irradiated with black light, the fluorescent pigment contained in the undercoat layer emits light to make it possible to discriminate the printed part. |
