<p>PURPOSE:To enable fast forwarding reproduction, rewinding reproduction and still picture reproduction by operating only two keys, and to improve operability by turning a device into a still picture reproducing mode while the device is left in a state that both an FWD switch and a REW switch are pushed. CONSTITUTION:A video tape recorder is constituted of a key operating part 3 provided with the FWD key 1 of the FWD switch to designate the fast forwarding, etc., of a video tape and the REW key 2 of the REW switch to designate the rewinding, etc., of the video tape and so on, a system controller 4, and a reproducing system 9 and a tape travel driving system 10 controlled by the system controller 4 and so on. Then, in the state that both the FWD switch 1 and the REW switch 2 are operated, the device is turned into the still picture reproducing mode, and when the operation of both the switches 1, 2 is released within a prescribed period of time, the still picture reproducing mode is held for the prescribed period of time. Thus, the fast forwarding reproduction, the rewinding reproduction and a still picture can be obtained by operating only two keys.</p> |
