Apparatus which is based fundamentally on utilising the heat of the internal-combustion engine transmitted via the cooling water, the lubricating oil or the exhaust gases, causing this heating fluid to circulate via a coil located inside the boiling reservoir where the ammoniacal solution is heated and the hot ammonia gas is generated. It also consists of a mixer/absorber circuit, responsible for cooling the lean, hot solution produced in the boiler and enriching it with the ammonia gases aspirated from the evaporator by the water tube. It allows manufacture of air-conditioning apparatuses for vehicles without compressor, without consumption of fuel and without destroying the ozone layer. <IMAGE>
