The flywheel is partic. used for regulating wind power machines, and comprises an arm which is centrally fixed or rotatably so via a shaft to a frame. At both ends of the arm and equally distributed a circulating mass is adjustably fitted. At least at one end of the flywheel arm (13) is a further shaft (12) parallel to its own (11), and on it is rotatably fitted a second flywheel arm (22,25), and a mass (24) is adjustably mounted being connectable to the arms (22,25). Between the frame (15) and the first flywheel arm (13) a blocking device (27,29) acting as coupling is fitted. It is also connected to a second blocking device (26) which in turn is effectively connected to the second flywheel arm (22). USE - As a flywheel for regulating machine tools.
