<p>On a dot matrix screen, in order to perform colour filling, according to a given colour, of a figure, and especially a moving figure, only the contour of the area is stored in memory, and its position is calculated according to the displacement of the figure; colour filling is then performed by line by line scanning of the screen with detection of the contour in order to perform colour filling of the pixel line segments contained within the contour.
