An adjustment gauge has a guide pin (5) fixed to the nozzle to be adjusted. At least one lens (43) mounted opposite the guide pin passes focused light and its axis of symmetry is coaxial with the guide axis. The lens is connected to a laser (9) either directly or via a light conducting fibre (42). The guide is subjected to high frequency vibrations to facilitate the movement of the nozzle being adjusted. ADVANTAGE - Accurate setting. Does not require subsequent testing with water.
