PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramic plate hardly causing shrinkage and having superior water absorbing property and strength by molding and firing a slurry contg. specified amts. of ash obtd. by incineration, silica, clay and pulp sludge. CONSTITUTION:Powdery starting material is prepd. by blending 15-55 pts.wt. ash obtd. by incineration with 20-55 pts.wt. silica or 20-55 pts.wt. silica with 15-30 pts.wt. feldspar or 15-40 pts.wt. plastic clay. This starting material is mixed with pulp sludge and 2-10 pts.wt. alumina or mullite fibers to form a slurry and this slurry is molded and fired. |
