PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image by detecting the motion of a subject and detecting the photographic timing of a frozen image automatically. CONSTITUTION:Two semifield image signals are read out of a field memory 12, stored with respective semifield image signals obtained by a solid image pickup element 5, alternately, line by line, to generate simultaneous type composite field image data, and a composite color image signal is generated with the composite field image data of respective colors. The output level difference between one line of the composite field image-data and the following line is detected by a detecting means 22 to detect whether or not the subject is in motion and when the motion detecting means 22 detects no motion of the subject, freezing operation is performed by a switch means 20. Consequently, the frozen image is obtained in the least motion state and the frozen image has no color slurring and is sharp. |
