The metal shelf rack has edges of an angled profile on the underside, both in the longitudinal and transverse direction. The profiled longitudinal edges are formed from two sheet metal layers, with the main part of the shelf rack of one layer only. The edges (2) are G-shaped in cross-section. The profile and double layered structure of the edges are formed by folding back from a common sheet metal blank. The middle web (6) of the G-section can be folded back parallel to the main part (5) of the shelf rack, and ends approx. in the middle of the profiled shape.
