<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ozone decomposing tower prevented from the corrosion due to mist and having high durability by providing a demister removing mist from water to be treated to the lower part of the tower and inserting an ozone- resistant packing material between a metal net supporting an activated carbon bed and the activated carbon bed. CONSTITUTION:Mist in air collides with the surfaces of the fibers of a demister 7 to be caught thereby and removed to the lower part of an ozone decomposing tower 1 as large waterdrops and, therefore, it can be prevented that the impurity or chlorine ion contained in the mist is sent into the contact part between a metal net 3 or the main body of the ozone decomposing tower 1 and an activated carbon bed 4 to be accumulated on the contact part. The packing material 8 on the metal net 3 prevents that the heat due to the reaction of ozone and activated carbon is concentrated to the metal net 3 or the contact part of the metal net 3 and the decomposing tower 1. By this constitution, the economical ozone decomposing tower capable of being used for a long period of time using the demister or the packing material composed of an inexpensive material is obtained.</p> |
