A radiation detector has receivers responding to different parts of the spectrum, especially in the infrared, for target-seeking or ignition systems, with at least one discriminator (27) following the receivers (21, 22, E) from the output of which a signal can only be taken if the output signals of all the receiver amplifiers (23, 24) reach a predetermined level. The system assist rejection of interfering signals and facilitates the determination of the angular direction of the radiation source from a reference direction. This detector works on the principle that a body at every radiation temperature possesses a characteristic division of the radiation energy with reference to the wave length of the emitted radiation.
