<p>PURPOSE:To make deterioration in picture quality unremarkable by correcting a signal corresponding to one page of a first half and a latter half among signals whose error is detected through the use of a signal in the vicinity of the part from which the error is detected spatially and a signal on a preceding and a succeeding page. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that a picture element 11a is a picture element of a first half page forming a block in which an error is detected, a picture element 11b is a picture element of a latter half page forming the block in which the error is detected, a picture element 12 is a picture element on a same position of a pattern of one preceding page with respect to the said first half page, and a picture element 13 is a picture element on a same position of a pattern of one succeeding page with respect to the said latter half page. The picture element 11a on a 3rd page forming a block in which an error is detected is replaced with the picture element 12 on the 2nd page adjacent timewise and the picture element 11b on a 4th page forming a block in which an error is detected is replaced with the picture element 13 on a 5th page adjacent timewise. According to the error correction method as above, since the local pattern on a same page is consecutive for two pages only, the movement of a video image is smoothed.</p> |
