PURPOSE:To improve the total file transfer efficiency by transferring a prescribed file to a slave device from a master device, starting newly the slave device as a transferer, and transferring the prescribed file to another slave device. CONSTITUTION:A fact whether its own machine name indicates a master computer 2a or one of slave computers 2b - 2h is identified. Thus the lines of a transfer table 3 containing the machine names are confirmed. Then the line where a machine name is positioned is shifted to the next line and the machine name positioning at the right adjacent point is retrieved on the table 3. The machine name of a transferee, if confirmed, is specified and a data file is transferred. Then a program file is transferred and at the same time an executing request is produced to a relevant program. That is, the processing execution requests are produced to the computers 2b - 2h of the transferee side based on the program file. Then the line is shifted on the table 3 and the name of the next machine of the transferee side is retrieved. The similar processing is repeated if a transferee is confirmed.
