1457675 Making ampoules having non-return valves; securing non-metallic sheet material PECHORSKY N I UGOLNY INST 30 Aug 1974 37917/74 Addition to 1341482 Headings B5D and B5K An apparatus for making ampoules, each having a non-return valve, comprises a driven belt conveyer 7 which moves a web 2 in the form of two overlying layers (31, 33), Fig. 9 (not shown), through a non-return valve shaping plate (12), Fig. 3 (not shown), under independently rotatable rollers 21, (22), Fig. 2 (not shown), and below a welding drum 5 which transversely welds the web to form the ampoules. The rollers 21, (22) prevent the web 2 from being displaced both perpendicularly to the plane of conveyance and transversely to the conveying direction. The ampoules are separated from the web by rollers 9. The shaping plate (12) includes a slot (12a), Fig. 3 (not shown), through which the web is drawn to fold the longitudinal edges of the web inwards. The rollers 21, (22) are mounted on respective and independently pivotal levers (23), Fig. 2 (not shown), 24 and the roller (22) carries welding blades for welding the infolded web positions at spaced intervals to the upper layer of the web, a plate (34), Fig. 2 (not shown), which is fixed to the shaping plate (12) and arranged to be interposed between the folded in web portion and the lower layer of the web, preventing welding of these web portions to the lower layer. Pivoted brackets 18 which carry the rotor 5, are arranged to abut rollers 27 on the levers (23), 24 so that a lifting device 29, connected by a rod 28 to the brackets 18, can simultaneously lift the rollers 21, (22) and the rotor 5. The web is moved past the rollers 21, (22) and the rotor 5 between endless bands 13, 14 which, like the rollers 21, (22) and the rotor 5, are driven by direct or indirect contact with the belt conveyer 7. |
