PURPOSE:To restrain wasteful movement of shoulder parts to improve wear resistance of the shoulders, and ensure wettability by arranging narrow reinforcing layers extending in the circumferential direction of a tire on belt layers so that they correspond to main grooves located on the shoulder areas. CONSTITUTION:With a pneumatic tire A, a carcass layer 4 is laid over between a pair of right and left bead parts 5, and in a tread part 6, belt layers 3 are arranged to surround its outer periphery. Further, on the tread 6a of the tread part 6, plural main grooves 2 extending in the circumferential direction of a tire are provided. In this case, on the portion of the main grooves 2a located on the shoulder areas, out of the main grooves 2, namely, on the portion of shoulder-grooves 2a, narrow reinforcing layers 1 are provided on the belt layers on the positions opposite to the shoulder grooves. Thus, wasteful movement of the shoulder parts is restricted to improve wear resistance of the shoulders. Further, draining property of the main grooves is not interrupted, and wettability can be favorably maintained. |
