<p>PURPOSE:To enable instantaneous determination of location of a target inside or outside a restricted area when it is detected, by a method wherein data on a graphic plane (GFP) storing the distribution of positions of restricted areas are read out sequentially in synchronization with a radar sync signal led from a radar sensor and are compared sequentially with radar echo signal. CONSTITUTION:A restricted area setting circuit 11 transfers a part of chart data recorded in a graphic memory for a chart to a prescribed address of GFP 12 on occasion as data (data on X-Y coordinate values) on the distribution of positions of restricted areas. A restricted area read-out circuit 13 reads out sequentially the content of the data stored in the GFP 12, in synchronization with a radar sync signal (b), and outputs it to a position detecting circuit 20 one by one as a restricted area display signal (c). Based on a radar echo signal (a) outputted one by one from a radar sensor 30, then, the circuit 20 determines the X-Y coordinate values of a target and, by referring to the level of the signal (c) at this time, judges inch the target is located inside or outside of the restricted area.</p> |
