PURPOSE:To prevent choking of an ink jet nozzle by applying pressure forcibly from the inside of the nozzle to the tip thereof just before recording so as to push out the ink remaining in the tip of the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:When the electric current inputted in an electromagnet 12 is reversed for a fixed time and S-pole is formed on the face b just before recording, a force attracted in the direction of the electromagnet 12 acts on a permanent magnet 14, thereby a spool 13 fixed on the same axis with the permanent magnet 14 being transferred in the direction of X. The spool 13 being further transferred and its front going beyond the line Y, the spool is fitted slidably in an ink pump 11 to raise the pressure on the ink a in an ink chamber 8 located in a recording head 1, thereby the ink a being pushed out from a discharge nozzle 3 in a choked state. When the direction of the current of the electromagnet 12 is reversed after the lapse of fixed time, the spool 13 moves in the direction of X' and returns to the normal state. |
