PURPOSE:To eliminate the cost for maintenance by using a photoconductive developer as a developer and a conductive material as a developer carrier. CONSTITUTION:The developer carrier 1 is made of the conductive material, a powdery photoconductive developer is stuck uniformly in a thin layer shape on the surface of the developer carrier 1 by a developer supplier 2 with an electrostatic force, and an optical scanning system 5 irradiates the surface of the developer carrier 1 with luminous flux controlled according to information; and a transfer electrode 5 is irradiated with the luminous flux through the optical scanning system 5 to transfer a photoconductive developer, which loses electrostatic charges or attenuates photoconductively, to the surface of an information recording medium S by applying an electrostatic attractive force from the reverse surface of an information recording medium S, and a fixing unit 8 fixes the transferred photoconductive developer. Consequently, the developer carrier can be used semipermanently, a cleaner is not necessary, and the cost for the maintenance is not required. |
