Process for humidifying a gas, consisting in forming a gaseous mixture containing the said gas and hydrogen and oxygen in determined proportions, and in then reacting the hydrogen and the oxygen in the mixture chemically so as to obtain the said gas mixed with a desired proportion of water vapour; device for making use of this process.
