PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wrinkles and thin walls on skin even to the deep drawn configuration, and therefore obtain a molding with extremely excellent appearance by preforming a laminate skin material into a shape that is similar to the cavity configuration and formed with a creased marginal part in the bottom surface. CONSTITUTION:A laminate skin material 3 laminated with a foam synthetic resin layer 4 on the skin back surface is supplied onto a preforming mold 2, and vacuum- molded from a plane shape into one that is similar to the inner configuration of a forming mold 1b and formed with an appropriate number of creased marginal part 5 expanding to the flat part in the bottom surface. Next, it is set between a pair of forming molds 1a, 1b, and clamped at an ordinary temperature in conjunction with a molten synthetic resin material 7 that is supplied into a cavity 6. Inasmuch as it is preformed into a shape that is similar to the cavity configuration preliminarily, the thin wall or breakage can be prevented in the wall forming part 8 wherein the expansion coefficient becomes the largest, in particular, since the creased marginal part 5 is provided on the flat part in the bottom surface wherein the expansion coefficient is smallest in the laminate skin material, the expansion of the laminate skin material 3 in the wall forming part 8 is relaxed, resulting in a more uniform wall thickness. |
